Yes the back of the leaf is as you say just asked s fig collector and he said its kadota but you know how it is with fig trees the same tree 5 different names!!!!

The plant was shipped in a sterile container and i was wondering when. Mine is a 3 yr. Hardy to usda zone 7 and all higher zones. I even purchased a 2nd tree and it performed the same way.
